Hannover industrial fair 2009. Innoscooter shows an electric scooter filed for the electric motorcycle race on the Isle of Man. 60,72 km have to be driven with at last 72,86 km/h average speed. Lithium iron phosphat batteries from GBS-Energy in China give the energy.

Only 50m distand a hydrogen scooter. 15 km/h top speed and 25 km range. Why? Has such a vehicle the smallest chance on the market? The list of resarch furtherances gives a clear answer about the motivation.

I test since years electric scooters made in China. Quality products from China compete against each other. I organised April 2007 with the Green party in Salzburg a press conference. But one week later was the E-Max S sold out. The first IO-Scooter 1500 was not able to replace because to weak in the mountains. Only some month later with a new developt engine was the IO-Scooter to go 22% slope faster uphill than my E-Max S. The scooter show owner Deinlein told me, he will not sell a scooter where he can not drive home. So strict are the rools at selling electric scooters.

At the Hannover fair was a small test place for a electric small motorcycle. With momentum over the ramp. But how to start uphill? So I drive to the ramp, stop, turn the gas grip. Nothing! The 4000.-EUR Elmoto HR-2 can not start on 12.5% slope. Monday production? I test an other Elmoto HR-2. Again nothing!

I would have been happy about exiting test duells between German and Chinese electric motorcycles. But the first prodcut what I see from Germany is not able for the minimum requirements.

The demise of each big civilization started with the firm as a rock convictions to be the best. With production of the best fossil scrap cars will it not be possible to survive the 21th century.

  Bad Hofgastein is about 400m higher than Salzburg. In addition, I plan to go fast. So a recharge pause with supper is planned at the Fischerwirt.

Isle of man electric motorcycle race 2009
  This electric scooter is filed as the 24th participant of the open class. The race will take place June 12th. The 60.72 km distance has to be managed in 50 minutes.


Innoscooter wheel hub engine and controller
  The controller has much more surface to distribute the heat. The new wheel hub engine should have 6 kW for 90 km/h top speed.

  Only a model on the Hannover fair. But it is a very important development. The estimation is alone for Germany 128 TWh (PEGE 2008) to 180 TWh (PEGE 1992).


This ramp was too steep
  Outside the hall was a small test drive for electric bicycles and electric scooters. A careful evaluation of the photo showed 12,5% slope.


German electric motorcycle Elmoto HR-2
  The older model of the Elmoto has 2 electric engines, one in the front wheel, on in the rear wheel. A start on 12.5& slope is with 80 kg ( I with equipment ) not possible.

  I try it later with the newer model, only a bigger wheel hug engine rear, to start on 12.5% slope. It had been even more legwork necessary than at the older model.


Compare Elmoto HR-2 with other electric scooters
  The failure to start on 12.5% slope with only 80 kg burden at a 4000.-EUR product from a country once advertising with ''German value work'' is staggering.


Hydrogen scooter for disabled
  Really unbelievable performance data has this hydrogen scooter. 15 km/h top speed and 25 km range with only 2 hydrogen tanks.


Daimler and Jaguar soon electric
  Most of our salesmanagement drives Daimler and Jaguar soon with our own Electric Motor. A vendor to change fossil cars to electric cars?


Engine a little bit to big
  The 259 kW electric engine seems on the first view to be not jet optimized for the use in a car. Sorry, only a gag on the fair booth.
